Curl your hair without killing your arms
I haven’t spent more than five minutes styling my hair in years, but I still remember the muscle fatigue. That was before beachy waves were the thing (stick straight strands a la Gwyneth or Jennifer Aniston was the hair goal) so I can’t attest to the upper body workout associated with a curling iron—but I can share this new styling tool that looks a heck of a lot easier to use than the one you most likely have in your bathroom right now.
The CurlBar from Hot Tools literally takes a different angle—90 degrees to be exact—and I’m shocked it’s taken this long for someone to redesign the traditional iron. Making the heating element perpendicular to the handle makes the process a lot more comfortable (especially when you’re doing your own hair)—and you can set a vibrating timer for up to 30 seconds so you can create the perfect wave each and every time.
The CurlBar is available in 1-inch and 1 ¼-inch barrel sizes, and each comes with a heat-resistant glove. Of course you can control the temperature up to 450 degrees, of course it shuts itself off automatically, and of course you can expect the look you long for without straining your arms, shoulders and wrists.
P.S. If you’re the type who likes to “meet” a tool in person when deciding whether to purchase it or not, the CurlBar will be available at Ulta stores in February!
