The mask you need before a big night out

The mask you need before a big night out

I’m convinced the babysitters of the world have it out for me. Whenever I have an occasion that requires coverage (as opposed to just a date night), my roster of four or five is inevitably unavailable—and then I start calling in sleepover favors from friends. However, there is a beauty-related aspect of this rant, because this past Saturday I managed to get a sitter so the hubs and I could go out for dinner with a few of our couple friends. I started my extended makeup prep with the Roloxin Lift Gold mask, and it’s possible my friends thought I got a little something-something done since they haven’t seen me in so long.

So here’s the scoop on this special-occasion mask, that works to improve wrinkles, pores and overall skin tightness. It comes in single-dose packets that you first activate by squeezing for 20 seconds. Then you wash your face (leaving it slightly damp) and apply the contents of the packet over your entire face and neck. (Don’t be alarmed by the gold shimmer.) As you allow the mask to dry for 7 to 10 minutes, you’ll feel its firming effect, and see that it turns into a powdery finish. Once it’s completely white, rinse thoroughly with water, using only your hands—no soap, no nothing else.

After you’ve washed all remnants of the mask away, you won’t believe the smooth, radiant skin you’re left with. Then you can continue your usual skincare and makeup routine—and get ready for an onslaught of compliments about your skin. I suppose you could technically use this mask every morning, but I find it makes getting ready for a night on the town a bit more special, and a lot more fun.
