Something for you and your lips to look forward to...
I’m not sure where this newfound optimism is coming from, but my beauty/personal maintenance outlook is getting brighter. While I’m due for my bi-annual injectable tune-up this month (and many dermatologist and plastic surgeons’ offices are opening back up), I’ve pretty much decided to put it off until I’m actually seeing people other than my son and husband on a daily basis. (Zooms don’t count.) I mean, might as well save the money, right?
Lip injections are part of my regular professional-based aesthetic refresh, and there’s a new filler option I’ll definitely be asking my doctor about. It’s called Restylane Kysse, and based on my own research, it seems to offer both augmentation (plumping) and structure (such as smoothing fine lines and enhancing the lip border) in one product. Until now, doctors have often used different products to achieve each of these goals. Kysse also features a new technology that allows the filler to integrate with lip tissue (in turn minimizing being able to feel it or see it with lip movement), and preliminary results show lasts for up to one year.
No word just yet about when it will be available (the approval timing is less than ideal considering most of us are more worried about the pandemic than our poutiness), but stay tuned because I’ll keep you posted!
