Could this be the secret weapon for fighting breakouts?
Yup, I’m still struggling with mask-induced acne, and I honestly can’t imagine what my face would look like if I actually left the house more than I do (which isn’t a lot). My current arsenal of breakout-fighting products includes OH.SO’s silver-infused About Face mist (which I keep in my bag so I can use it before putting on my mask and when I take it off in the car), Zyderma HS Clarifying Cream, Kinship’s Pimple Potion spot treatment and a Neutrogena salicylic acid cleanser in the shower.
But apparently this isn’t enough, so I’ve been on the hunt for some extra help—and I think I found it in the form of Skin Gym’s High-Frequency Wand. An at-home version of the bacteria-busting zapper you’ve probably experienced at some point during a professional facial, it comes with three attachments so you can treat larger areas, get into smaller spots like the sides of the nose and zero in on specific pimples.
It seems simple enough… You just crank it up until you start to feel a tingly sensation, place an unfolded sheer of gauze over the part of your face you’re going after, and move the wand in circular motions for one to three minutes.
I’m thisclose to ordering one, but I’m asking around to see if anyone has tried it (or a similar tool for home use). At $95 (minus $10 when you sign up for emails) it’s not a major investment, but I’m certainly hoping it pays off!
