My best fall purchase thus far
Word on the street is that temperatures are going to dip into the 60s this weekend (for the first time) and I couldn’t be more excited! I have several outfits at the ready for when the weather is appropriate—and one piece is featured in several of them.
We all love a good pair of leggings, but there’s a big difference between black workout pants and a legging you can go out in (at least in my book). For me, it comes down to fabric and seams. I love compression when exercising, but not so much for drinks or dinner. Most of my workout pants have visible seams, while I prefer more tailored seams if I’m topping off my look with a blazer instead of a hoodie. And finally, why not elevate your legging look with a stirrup? This extra touch looks great with loafers or heels (and clogs!) and you can keep the straps under wraps when wearing boots.
Everyone, meet Open Edit’s High Waist Stirrup Leggings. Lightweight enough that you won’t break a sweat, and substantial enough so you don’t have to worry about them looking cheap or sheer, these leggings are perfection. I ordered a small and extra-small so I was sure to get it right the first time around, and they definitely run a little large so size down if you’re unsure of which to get.
I’m currently wearing them with an AYR button-down and flip flops—but I’ll be changing into my No. 6 clogs for dinner later and I can’t wait! I’ll also be pairing these with an oversized sweater vest and loafers, and there will definitely be a blazer or cardigan and white tee shirt moment in my future as well.
