My non-resolutions for 2022
I am not a New Year’s resolution person—and I never have been. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t have a mental list of things I’d like to do more of or do better, and the start of a new calendar year is more of a reminder than anything. I’m finally at a place where I’m firmly committed to a daily exercise routine, and my diet has never been cleaner, but I could step up my skincare routine to include more treatments (in addition to the myriad products I use every day). Here’s what’s on my list…
Use my ZIIP
The ZIIP microcurrent device is remarkable, and we spent a lot of time together when the pandemic first began. However, our relationship waned once we settled into the “new normal”—and I was able to get my Botox and filler again. I picked my ZIIP up again a few weeks ago, and the new-and-improved app is fantastic. I’ve been leaving it out on my bathroom counter as a friendly reminder to do a treatment whenever I have a few extra minutes.
Do more masks
I literally have three exfoliating/clarifying masks in my shower, and a whole drawer of them in my bathroom. From traditional soothing and hydrating options to more sheet masks than I can count, I need to weave these into my routine. I’m thinking after my post-walk shower would be a good time. Why not? (LOUM Beauty’s Renew & Brighten Polishing Minifacial has been moved to my daily skincare tray so I remember to use it.)
Bust out the eye patches
Whenever you see snaps of celebrities or models getting ready for a red-carpet event or fashion show, they are inevitably wearing some sort of eye patches. I have a stickie note on my mirror reminding me to slap them on while doing my hair before moving on to makeup when I’m going out—and I even put some of Klorane’s Smoothing & Soothing Eye Patches in the mini-fridge in my room for an extra cooling boost.
Incorporate facial massage
It’s been a while since I’ve used my Pause Well-Aging Fascia Stimulating Tool, but I fondly recall the healthy glow and instantly uplifted look it delivers in just a few minutes. I prefer to use it when I’m not going anywhere since it can make my skin red if I really go to town. P.S. It works wonderfully with Drunk Elephant’s Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil.
