I had an epiphany a few weeks ago… Despite having nearly every lip color I could possibly ever need (or want), I was lacking peach! And since I found myself in a very peach mood, I had no other choice that to hightail it over to the mall. I went armed with a link to a Tom Ford I saw on Violet Grey, but was disappointed to find that it had barely any color payoff.
Then I headed over to Chanel, where I was presented with the Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in “Liberte.” I liked it but wasn’t totally in love, even after an express makeover. As a side note, this was right before a business meeting and I was hyper-aware of the fact I was wearing so much eyeliner that all I kept thinking about was the Charlie Sheen police station scene from Ferris Bueller—but I digress.
As I was checking out, I spied the limited-edition Lévres Scintillantes Aqua Glossier in “Sahara,” and my gut told me to get it. I was originally going to return the Rouge Coco, but the combination of these two lip products gave me my peach fix and then some. In fact, I’ve been wearing at least one of them every day.
The beauty of peach is that it’s not too bold, and it’s not pink. And it goes with just about everything. Now the big question is, “Do I stock up on the “Sahara” before it’s gone?”
