Be the first to get Goldfaden MD's newest launch!

I love being ahead of the beauty curve, and as a magazine editor you know about—and get to try—new products months before they hit stores. Though I may be someone removed from the print world, I still get wind of upcoming launches—along with samples on occasion—and February is going to be a beautiful month thanks to Goldfaden MD’s new Fleuressence Native Botanical Cell Oil. (Click through to pre-order now!)

I am all about oils these days, and Goldfaden’s first foray into this category doesn’t disappoint. The blend of African baobab, mongongo and Kalahari oils (plus South American rosehip seed oil) is loaded with anti-aging essential fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants that nourish your skin without leaving any greasy residue. And unlike a lot of other natural oils that smell, well, gross, this one has a fresh, spa-like scent.

This supercharged oil has additional benefits as well… Beyond providing much-needed hydration, the oils were selected for their ability to boost cell regeneration and elasticity while improving skin tone and, of course, signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. Used morning and/or night (on its own or mixed with moisturizer or foundation), it leaves skin with a healthy glow—and it won’t clog pores so it’s perfect for all skin types.

It just so happened that I ran out of sunscreen the very week I met with the lovely Lauren from Goldfaden, so I managed to get my hands on the Sun Visor Ultralight Oil-Free SPF 30 Mist. At first the mist thing threw me off, but I quickly discovered that this is quite possibly the most weightless sun protection I’ve ever used. Just a few sprays in my palm (then applied to my face, neck and chest) leave absolutely no white residue, and it absorbs so well I barely have to rub it in. Once applied, you don’t even know it’s there, so you can apply your makeup as usual. It owes its lightweight nature to nanotechnology, which allows the sunscreen ingredients to do their job without making the product too think or heavy. Oh, and beyond broad-spectrum UV protection, you get the free-radical fighting benefits of organic red tea extract, which is bursting with vitamins A, C and E (and has been found to be more powerful than green tea).

So there you have it, my latest skincare routine update courtesy of Goldfaden MD. If you tend to lean toward natural products but never, ever want to sacrifice results, this line is worth a look-see.
