Fake Tan Friday: Fake Bake 60 Minute Tan

Another week means test-driving another self-tanner, and we’re feeling particularly golden-goddess-like thanks to Fake Bake’s 60 Minute Tan. When time is of the essence, this product has you covered.

Think of this fantastic product as taking the express lane to a beautiful bronze… Designed to last for up to a week (with proper moisturizing, of course), applying it a bit of a process, but totally worth the effort. After slipping into the included rubber gloves, you spray the solution onto Fake Bake’s super-soft velour mitt and cover yourself from head to toe using circular motions (you may want a friend or significant other on hand to take care of your back). The tinted solution helps you make sure you blend well without missing a spot, and it dries fast without feeling sticky. The beauty of this tanner is that it delivers real color in as little as 60 minutes, but you can leave it on for up to three hours, depending on how dark you want to go. Then you wash it off with just water (no soap) and your tan will continue to develop over the next few hours—but Fake Bake recommends not sweating or getting wet again for six more hours.

The first time we used it, we kept it on for 90 minutes and we were happy with the result. Since we were unsure of how it would turn out, we applied a pretty light layer, and next time we’ll definitely use more and possibly leave it on a bit longer. We were pleasantly surprised by tropical scent while we were sitting around waiting for our time to be up, and after a quick rinse our skin was definitely darker. Needless to say, this is the perfect product for when we need to get our glow on fast—and don’t want to think about it again for at least four or five days!
