Earlier this month, I had The Today Show on for the first time in I can’t even remember how long, and one particular segment caught my attention. No, it wasn’t breaking news or celebrity gossip—it was about contact lenses that make you look younger. And as a contact lens wearer myself, I’m really looking forward to asking my ophthalmologist about Acuvue’s new Define lenses at my next appointment.
As if we didn’t have enough to worry about, as we age, the dark circles around our irises—technically called limbal rings—begin to fade. Research has actually proven that women with more defined limbal rings are perceived as more attractive (so long as their natural-looking as opposed to Japanese Anime-esque), so why not wear contacts that enhance them?
Acuvue’s Define lenses have been available in Asia for about 10 years now, and there’s no difference between them and other lenses other than the tint that works to define your iris’ borders. They are available in three designs—Natural Sparkle, Natural Shimmer and Natural Shine—each has a different effect on different eye colors. And you can check out how they look on your eye color here…
Possibly the easiest way to shave a few years off my visage, all I can say is I’M IN. What about you?
