Manuka Doctor's buzz-worthy new mask

We wage our battle against aging with skincare products every morning and night, and we even make an effort to slather our skin with ingredients that are supposed to work on those fine lines and teeny-weeny dark spots all day long, too. You’d think that’s enough, but no, we also bust out the big guns once a week for a treatment mask—and these days we’re loving Manuka Doctor’s ApiNourish Rejuvenating Face Mask.

Before delving into the details, there are a few interesting things about Manuka Doctor that you should know. First off, this is the only line we’ve come across that harnesses the power of purified bee venom (yes, you read that correctly—and no, it won’t have the effect of a bee sting). This venom happens to be a potent blend of enzymes, peptides and amino acids that have beauty benefits for your skin by giving collagen a helping hand, speeding cell regeneration and repairing damaged cells. The purified venom is joined by Manuka honey, which has moisturizing and healing qualities as well.

So back to the mask… In addition to the purified bee venom and Manuka honey, it also contains moisturizing royal jelly (another brilliant skin ingredient from the bees) along with nutrient-rich kaolin light clay, rosehip seed oil, blackcurrant seed oil, vitamin E, cocoa butter and shea butter. We felt a slight tingle upon application, but it lasted for less than a minute. After about 30 minutes we wiped it off with a wet washcloth, and our skin was soft, supple and glowing. But the best part of this mask is that you don’t really have to wash it off if you don’t want to (or if you forget to). All in all, we’re happy to have this as part of our anti-aging arsenal—and you should see what all the Manuka Doctor buzz is about for yourself!
