Sally Hershberger changed the salon landscape when she started charging $600 for a haircut back in 2003. She also became one of the first stylists who got credit for their celebrity clients’ coifs by giving Meg Ryan her signature chop (and I also read that she was responsible for Julia Roberts’ short-lived short ‘do). Now Hershberger is going pedal to the metal with a new haircare line, and if you’re into luxury (and $600+ haircuts) Sally Hershberger 24K is for you.
The first offerings from this fledgling brand are all styling products inspired by Hershberger’s years of experience on editorial shoots and in her eponymous salon. The Supreme Stylist Voluminous Dry Shampoo, Superiority Complex Texturizing Paste, Root Envy Ultimate Root Boost and Golden Touch Nourishing Dry Oil are as gorgeous on the outside as they are effective on the inside (per the reviews)—and as you may have inferred from the brand’s name, they’re all infused with gold. Rumor has it that Hershberger has been making the texturizing paste for her celebrity clients for years—so I will definitely be checking it out at Sephora when I’m at the mall for an event this afternoon.
So dish… Has anyone tried these yet?
