It may technically still be fall, but it’s feeling a lot more like winter all over the place, even here in South Florida where we woke up to temperatures in the brisk 50s. Thanks to super-thin skin and a lack of oil glands, our lips are often the first to bear the brunt of any mercury dip, which is why it’s imperative to have a hydrating balm on hand (and on our lips) at all times. Fortunately lip balm doesn’t have to be boring these days, and I’m all about Dior Addict Lip Glow for Fall/Winter 2014.
Beyond being intensely moisturizing courtesy of wild mango and luffa cylindrical, this dynamic balm also offers a light wash of color that’s tailored to your lips’ unique chemistry. Unlike the Jouer balm that was supposed to have this effect (but didn’t), the Dior definitely delivers on this claim, and I’ve found I can get even more color payoff if I apply this when a different gloss or lip product has started to wear off.
Call me a sucker, but the packaging makes this product feel so much fancier than lip balm as well… Yes, you certainly pay for that luxury factor, but this is way more chic than Chapstick, agreed?
