2 new ways to care for your color

We spend a lot of money keeping our color looking healthy and vibrant, so we’ll utilize any products we can get our hands on to help. Shampoo, conditioner and a UV protectant for days spent in the sun are our first line of defense, but now we’re shielding our strands from the factors that cause fading before we style and even between washes with the latest additions to Rusk’s Deepshine Color Care line.

The new Deepshine Color Care Lock-In Treatment acts like a leave-in conditioner, while providing your tresses with some extra benefits. This is the first time we’ve seen glycolic acid in a hair product, but it’s in there to strengthen strands and defend against breakage. There’s also vitamin E and pro-vitamin B5 to help repair and condition, plus an ingredient called amodimethicone to help make brushing and combing easier and enhance shine while protecting hair from the environmental aggressors responsible for fading.

And since we’re all about stretching time between washing and styling, the new Deepshine Color Care Invisible Dry Shampoo is a welcome addition to our hair routine. It eliminates greasiness in an instant while leaving hair looking (and smelling) refreshed—and it’s free of talc so there’s no white residue. Instead, it uses tapioca starch to absorb oil, and this ingredient also works double-time to boost the softness of your strands.
