Moroccanoil (finally!) takes on color care

We’ve all come to love Moroccanoil’s luxurious hair- and body-care (and THAT scrumptious scent), have we not? It’s hard to believe the brand is turning 10, and they’re celebrating by branching out into a new category: Color care. I’m surprised it’s taken this long, but these new products are going to give you a few more reasons to treat your tresses to the benefits of argan oil (if they’re colored, that is).

The Color Complete collection takes a comprehensive approach to caring for highlighted and colored hair—and it starts in the salon with two professional products that are used during the coloring process. First up is the ChromaTech Prime, which is designed to promote even color absorption throughout the hair while minimizing itching and scalp discomfort while color develops. (I sure could have used that when I was platinum.) Once you’re “cooked,” the ChromaTech Post creates crosslinks within the hair’s keratin to lock in color—and help it stick around longer.

The range includes three additional products to help you keep the fun (and your color) going once you get home. The Color Continue Shampoo and Conditioner work to strengthen and repair the hair with every use, as they form a protective shield that helps prevent color from washing away. (And, they feature moisture- and shine-enhancing argan oil, of course.) The final step is the antioxidant-rich Protect & Prevent Spray, which provides protection against UV rays and other environmental factors that compromise your color and the health of your hair.

And you know what’s really impressive? The collection has been proven to extend color life and vibrancy by 100% after 10 washes—so you won’t see your radiant red, beautiful brunette (or your hard-earned money) go down the drain.
