I love this eye makeup remover (and I hate eye makeup remover)
I remember the very first time I tried eye-makeup remover. As much as I wanted to get waterproof mascara off (for the record, I hate waterproof mascara, too—perhaps there’s a connection), I was not expecting or remotely enjoying the oiliness that got into my eyes and on my contacts. From that day on, I only used water-based removers, but they don’t come close to the effectiveness of their oil-packed counterparts. Then I stumbled upon a sample of NARS Gentle Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover in my medicine cabinet, and pulled it out to try the next time I piled on the eye makeup for a night out.
Don’t let the two layers fool you… This product is indeed oil-free, but based on its makeup-removing power (without the need for major rubbing), you’d never know it. The Tom Ford mascara that refuses to budge? Gone. The Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘N’ Kohl eyeliner that stays put all night? Bye-bye. And since it’s oil-free, there’s no greasiness whatsoever. And since it contains soothing chamomile and cucumber, you won’t be seeing red (or experience any burning or stinging).
Because of this product, I am amending my earlier statement. I don’t hate eye-makeup remover anymore—as long as I have this one.
