Your AM skincare routine just got simpler
There are two products that I use each and every morning without fail: A vitamin C antioxidant and sunscreen. Although many high-quality sunscreens are spiked with antioxidants, I’ve never (ever) considered skipping the serum before applying SPF—until now.
In what may be one the skincare highlights of 2020 as the year (finally) comes to a close, Supergoop’s brand-new Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF serves up broad-spectrum SPF 40+, blue-light protection and the brightening, free-radical-fighting power of vitamin C. Additional ingredients include Kaduku plum extract (a natural source of vitamin C), niacinamide and a marine-based extract that helps shield skin from screen-induced damage.
The only hitch: This antioxidant/sunscreen hybrid features chemical-based UV filters (avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene specifically), because mineral-based sunscreen ingredients and vitamin C have different pH preferences.
But if you’re looking for a one-two punch that can help even out skin tone while preventing new sun-induced dark spots and signs of aging from becoming visible, this is definitely a great way to do it.
