We’ll be honest… Halloween isn’t exactly our favorite holiday. Our idea of dressing up is a jack-o-lantern tee shirt, which is more than adequate for trick-or-treating with our five-year-old (and thankfully we weren’t invited to any Halloween parties this year). But come Thursday, we’ll be stepping up our costume by getting our fingertips in on the action (stay tuned for pictures!), and we thought you might appreciate these DIY nail art ideas courtesy of Nail It magazine…
Googly Eyes
Step 1: Apply base coat and two coats of black polish.
Step 2: Use the tip of a nail polish brush to make six dots (all different sizes) on the right side of the nail.
Step 3: Use a dotting tool (or the end of a Q-Tip with the cotton removed) to make an “eye ball” in the center of each dot. Finish with top coat.
Bloody Nails
Step 1: Apply base coat and two coats of light pink or white polish.
Step 2: Use a dotting tool (or the end of a Q-Tip with the cotton removed) to make four dots on the nail with blood-red polish.
Step 3: Connect the dots and fill to the edge of the nail. Finish with top coat.
