At this point we can all assume that if a new Charlotte Tilbury product comes out, I’m going to be first in line to buy it. And since I subscribe to both her U.K. and U.S. newsletters (and everything hits stores in the U.K. first), new offerings are on my radar well before the PR emails start rolling in. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the debut of the Beach Sticks, mostly because my makeup routine is really quick and easy on weekday mornings—i.e. brush-free application is how I roll.
So here’s the deal with the Beach Sticks. Each of the five shades is inspired by Ibiza (now who wouldn’t want a piece of that at 6:45 in the morning?), and designed to easily lend a healthy glow to the cheeks and lips. Beyond the sheer color, these sticks are packed with ingredients that prevent color from settling into lines and pores, moisturizers and light-diffusing spheres for the illusion of flawless skin.
I got the Las Salinas, because a punchy pink is my go-to blush shade for every day—and this color works perfectly with Charlotte’s Uptown Girl and Ingenue looks (which are two of my faves). On cheeks, it lends a fresh, healthy flush, and on the lips, it’s a light wash of candy pink color (in a good way)–but I have found a swipe of gloss over the Beach Stick is the way to go for a more polished finish. Although I totally love this shade, Formentera (a sun-kissed berry) and Moon Beach (a gorgeous rose gold) are also on my list–because who can pick just one?
This past order also included the new Lip Magic Rejuvenating Balm—but I’m saving this for a post about propolis, the latest good-for-your-skin ingredient you’re going to be hearing a lot more about. Stay tuned! (P.S. It’s AMAZING!)
