My favorite look from Fashion Week (so far) plus exciting makeup news to go with it!
My days of attending Fashion Week are long gone, but that doesn’t mean I don’t keep up on the action from afar. So far, Spring/Summer 2017 has something for everyone, whether you lean toward bold color or barely-there neutrals, minimalist chic or athleisure wear, or anything in between. But by far, the moment I can’t stop thinking about was when Victoria Beckham took her post-show bow in a loose, casual menswear-inspired ensemble (with flats!). Can you say Laid-Back Spice?
Aside from the meticulously tailored yet fluid floral, velvet and silk dresses that sauntered down the runway, it just so happens that Beckham’s collaboration with Estée Lauder debuted this week to a similar level of fanfare. This limited-edition collection includes the Morning Aura Illuminating Creme, Highlighter in Modern Mercury, Eye Kajal Duo in Black Saffron/Vanille and the six-shade Eye Palette—which was used to create three unique runway looks. Here are the images, and the step-by-step instructions for each:
Step 1: Clean skin with Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion
Step 2: Apply Revitalizing Supreme + Global Anti-Aging Wake Up Balm all over skin
Step 3: Smooth Morning Aura Illuminating Creme all over the face
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Double Wear Light all over
Step 5: Apply Double Wear Stay-in-Place Flawless Wear concealer where needed
Step 6: Apply Perfecting Loose Powder where needed
Step 7: Glide a light layer of Sumptuous Extreme Mascara through lashes
Step 8: Accentuate cheekbones with a swipe of Modern Mercury highlighter
Step 9: Line inner lashlines with Eye Kajal Duo, using just the Vanille shade
Step 10: 1 of 3 eye looks:
Geometric blue: Fired Sapphire from the Eye Palette, applied freeform across the lid
Geometric green: Burnished Sage from the Eye Palette, also applied freeform across the lid
Nude: Blonde Cumin and Metal Saffron from the Eye Palette, blended together in center of the lid
Even though I’m still working on getting my fall wardrobe ready, this makeup collection (and all of the gorgeous looks we’re seeing) are getting me excited for spring!
