If you have dry skin, it’s probably making its presence known right about now. The cold outside and arid artificial air inside isn’t doing you any favors, but the right products go a long way to help soothe that flaking and itching. And the wrong products are likely to make matters worse. My first bit of advice: Ditch any gel or foaming cleansers in favor of a creamy one, and make sure you’re using a rich moisturizer that replenishes the hydration your dry skin desperately needs.
And wouldn’t you know, Radical Skincare has just the products you (and your dry skin) need to put your best face forward for the new year. In the morning and evening, kick off your regimen with the Hydrating Cleanser, which moisturizes your skin as it washes away dirt and makeup. This antioxidant-infused formula doesn’t leave any residue, but it does leave your skin feeling comfy—and it contains the proprietary Trylacel technology that protects the anti-aging ingredients’ potency until they reach your skin. A true multitasker, this skin-softening cleanser also protects, repairs and soothes the skin.
After you cleanse, treat your skin to a serum that’s formulated to address your skin concerns, whether discoloration, wrinkles, redness, etc. Then top it all off with the ultra-rich Extreme Repair, which serves up a surge of moisture, a slew of protective antioxidants and serious soothing for super-dry or irritated skin. It has a faint citrusy scent, and despite the mega-dose of moisture it absorbs in a flash. This product contains the Trylacel technology as well, and works wonders for reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. If you’re in the market for a new moisturizer, I highly recommend it.
While I’m talking about Radical Skincare, one other must-try is the Instant Revitalizing Mask. I’ve written about it before (and I’ll write about it again) because I just love the bubbling upon application—and the tickly sensation that feels like Pop Rocks on your face. Perfect for before going out (it is New Year’s Eve after all), it leaves skin looking fresh and rosy in just a few minutes.
Since this is the last post of 2014, I just want to thank all of you who have joined me on this beauty journey over the past year—and I wish you a happy, healthy new year!
