I’ll let you in on a little secret… If you’re obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury, you can get asneak peek at new products by subscribing to her U.K. newsletter. You see, her new offerings launch there first, giving us a preview months in advance—and plenty of time to decide which to by. Her Matte Revolution lipsticks hit stores across the pond before last year’s holiday season, and fortunately for us, they bowed here a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw the announcement on my Spring app, I placed an order, and since I refrained from ordering one from the U.K., my patience was well worth it.
Let me just tell you, picking a shade was not an easy decision. I ultimately went with “Lost Cherry” since I was looking for a bright hue for spring, and I’m so happy I did. The peachy fuchsia works with just about any makeup look, whether I’m doing Charlotte’s “Ingenue,” “The Sophisticate,” or just a swipe of shimmery cream shadow.
The formula itself is fantastic. It manages to glide on with ease and deliver opaque matte color without turning into a dry, flaky mess within hours. Beyond the intense hydrating ingredients it also contains 3D pigments that really make your pout pop—and the angled bullet mimics the shape of a lip brush for precise application right out of the tube.
I already have my sights set of “Love Liberty” and “Walk of Shame” for fall, but I’m not so sure I’ll be able to hold out until then.
