I go bananas for anything personalized, especially bespoke beauty. (Exhibits A and B: This Instagram post and this Instagram post.) So when I got an email about ProfilePRO, I immediately hit up the website to see what it’s all about.
The “quiz” takes all of 30 seconds, during which you select your hair type, texture, behavior (limp, frizzy or normal) and scalp condition. Next, choose between Jasmine, Citrus, Coconut, Lavender and Vanilla for your scent. Then comes the fun part… You can see your forthcoming shampoo and conditioner bottles with your name on it!
From there, a few more questions about your goals, whether that be increasing volume, repairing damage, reduce shampoo frequency (yes, please!) and more. You’re also asked how you wear your hair (i.e. straight, loose waves, curls, etc.), how often you shampoo, your hair color, length, age and styling routine—and you’re done. You can start with travel-size bottles of your customized formula (because who doesn’t like to try before they invest!) or a one-off full-size order, or schedule auto-replenishment and get a price break.
In case you’re wondering, all of the products are free of sulfates, parabens and other harsh chemicals—and they’re color-safe.
