Sure, the best part about the start of summer is warmer weather, but new makeup comes in at a close second. Case in point: The new NARS collection for summer 2016, where you’ll find bold hues in formulations that can be worn both subtle and extreme.
The highlight (in my opinion) is the Lip Cover range… More than mere glosses, these highly pigmented liquid lippies offer major color payoff, high shine and considerable staying power. From the orange-red “Do Not Disturb” to the nude “Get Dirty,” these lip slicks will get your through summer in high style.
While I’m not usually one for crazy colorful eyes, I do love using an in-your-face shadow as an eyeliner for a pop of color. If you’re on the same page (or if you want to go for a full-on lively lid), the deep blue “Pool Shark” and teal “Deep End” Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows are for you. When used dry they serve up a light wash of color, but when applied with a wet brush, brace yourself.
Yes, there are two new blush duos in the collection as well, but I personally don’t stray from my pink, peach and deeper basics because there’s a lot more fun to be had with eyes and lips on a seasonal basis.
